Originally donated to the Town of Hillsdale after World War II, the park serves as a memorial for veterans from Hillsdale who served in both World Wars, Korea, and Vietnam, with an expanded memorial dedicated in November 2009.

Hillsdale Hamlet Park is a vibrant hub for community events and activities. Over the years, it has hosted town celebrations, summer youth programs, softball games, and festive Egg Hunts. It is also the original home of the Farmer’s Market, which has since expanded and moved to the nearby Roeliff Jansen Park.
