"Contacted Golden Bay Tech for a quote - heard back within an hour with an easy online scheduling link and had the cheapest diagnostic fee compared to others at $50, which they will put towards the service fee if needed. Hjalmar came within two hours of the request and gave me a solid estimate on the spot. Even though we didn't end up needing the repair (ended up just needing to buy a new appliance) - he was super helpful in providing insights into the best dishwashers to buy, etc. Will keep his number for future appliance repairs!"

"Just had a very positive experience with Hjalmar on replacing a rubber boot in my washer. 1) He answered the phone. I know this sounds basic but I left messages for 2 other repair companies and they never called me back, 2) He provided an estimate $ and time on the first call 3) He showed up, later than our scheduled appt time but he texted to give me an update, 4) He replaced the boot and ran a cycle to ensure there weren’t any leaks, 5) I asked him a bunch of questions about different brands for appliances and he provided (IMO) an honest answer. I would recommend him for appliance repairs and would not hesitate to call him again (hopefully not anytime soon)!"

"Hjalmar and I had a miscommunication from a dryer service ($350) that required me to spend another ($300) with another contractor to fix the issue. He would not accept partial responsibility and compromise to keep the rest of my business (total $1200). He's a smart tech, wish he would've earned the rest of my business. If you do hire Hjalmar, please focus on communicating the scope and purpose of the work. The kicker for this bad day was that he didn't clean up after himself and left a ton of lint and debris around the exterior vent."
