About the Business
Welcome to Rivera Library, a cherished community hub located at 7828 Serapis Avenue, Pico Rivera, California. Established in 1913 and settled in its current location since 1970, our library serves as a vibrant cornerstone in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood, offering a welcoming space for children and families to explore, learn, and grow.
As the smaller of the two libraries in Pico Rivera, Rivera Library is proud to provide a wide array of services and programs, supported by the Friends of Rivera Library. We invite young artists to participate in LA County Library's 45th Annual Bookmark Contest and encourage everyone to join in the monthly celebrations and learning opportunities offered by the LA County Library system.
Our library is a place where imagination and technology converge. Visitors can check out Kindle Paperwhites pre-loaded with expertly selected titles, or borrow laptops for in-library use with their LA County Library card. We also offer a wealth of digital resources, including eBooks, eAudiobooks, magazines, music, and movies, all accessible with your library card.
Rivera Library is committed to supporting education through our Homework Centers, providing enhanced resources and homework help for students. We also host the Family Place Library program, focusing on early childhood development and family support.
For those interested in health information, our Consumer Health Information Program offers access to reliable resources. Additionally, we invite community members to contribute to Catalina PhotoShare, preserving our local history.

"Best neighborhood library! We Love the Lego classes and the friendly staff allows the children’s creations to be displayed by the entrance. My son loves to visit & check out books. They do allow black and white printing, I believe up to 10 pages free of charge. There is computer access and lots of tables to sit and do homework. Lots of parking."

"I love going to the Rivera Library. Its small and cozy and not crazy crowded. The staff there are amazing and always ready to help. They have great hospitality and welcome everyone.They do have restrooms and I always see them get cleaned. It is also easy to get to the Library if you have a wheelchair or anything of that sort. Please do not base your coming on the bad reviews its been a while since and people and places change!"
