Welcome to Bell Gardens Library, a cornerstone of the Bell Gardens community since 1938. Located at 7110 Garfield Avenue, our library has been serving residents with a rich history of growth and expansion, reflecting the dynamic nature of our city. Originally opened on Live Oak Street, the library has moved over the years to accommodate the growing needs of our patrons, finally settling into our current location in 1970. A major refurbishment in 2007 has ensured that our facilities remain modern and welcoming to all visitors.

Bell Gardens Library is a proud member of the LA County Library system, offering a wide range of services and programs designed to inspire creativity and learning. We invite young artists to participate in LA County Library’s 45th Annual Bookmark Contest and encourage everyone to join us for various events throughout the year, including the One Book, One County celebration.

Our library is equipped with modern amenities, including the ability to check out Kindle Paperwhites pre-loaded with a curated selection of titles, ensuring you have access to great reads without needing internet access. We also offer laptops for use within the library, providing essential technology access to our community members.

Explore a world of digital content with your LA County Library card, granting you free access to eBooks, eAudiobooks, magazines, music, and movies. Our library supports educational success with 48 Homework Centers and online homework help, as well as being a Family Place Library, offering resources and support for early childhood development.

For those interested in health information, our Consumer Health Information Program provides access to reliable medical resources. Additionally, our Citizenship-in-a-Bag toolkit is available for those on the path to citizenship.
