Welcome to Paramount Library, a cornerstone of community learning and engagement located at 16254 Colorado Avenue, Paramount, California. As a proud member of the Los Angeles County Library system, we have been serving the vibrant community of Paramount since our humble beginnings in 1913. Over the years, our library has evolved and expanded, culminating in a stunning $4.8 million renovation, reopening its doors in July 2024 with enhanced facilities and services for all.
At Paramount Library, we are committed to providing a welcoming space for everyone. Our recent renovations have introduced modern amenities such as a community meeting room, group study rooms, and eco-friendly upgrades, ensuring a comfortable and sustainable environment for our visitors. Our Friends of Paramount Library, a dedicated volunteer-run organization, plays a vital role in supporting our library and its events. Through their efforts, we are able to host a range of activities, including the annual Bookmark Contest for young artists and the One Book, One County Author Talk and Celebration.
Patrons can enjoy a wide selection of books, eBooks, and more, with the convenience of Kindle Paperwhites pre-loaded with expertly curated titles. We also offer laptops for in-library use, providing even more opportunities for learning and creativity. Our library cardholders have access to a wealth of digital resources, from eBooks to streaming content, all available at no cost.
For families with young children, our Family Place Library is a hub for early childhood information, parent education, and socialization, providing essential tools and resources to support your child’s growth and development.
