Welcome to the Lawndale Library, a cherished community hub located at 14615 Burin Avenue, Lawndale, California. As one of the earliest branches of the County of Los Angeles Public Library, our roots trace back to December 26, 1913. Today, we proudly serve the Lawndale community in a modern facility that opened on March 18, 2009, featuring the stunning glass artwork "Subdivisions" by Anne Marie Karlsen.

Our library is more than just a place for books; it's a vibrant center for learning, creativity, and community engagement. We invite young artists to participate in the LA County Library’s 45th Annual Bookmark Contest, and we host exciting events like the One Book, One County celebration.
