"What a gorgeous area. We took our beach chairs, water, and snacks and sat down in front of the ocean and watched the eb and flow for hours. We were lulled to sleep for a short time by the sound of the waves. Wonderful place to relax and rejuvenate."

"Easy walk/hike to the beach. There's also another trail that takes you up for a nice overlook, which has a bench at the top to help you relish the view."

"Good free access point to the coast. There are three trails leading from the parking lot. A short one directly toward the sea leads to the beach. Easy trail, but not handicap accessible. Standard north coast beach. A second trail leads straight up the hill south from the parking area. Stairsteps make this climb manageable for anyone in reasonably good health and the trail leads a bit less than a mile along the cliffs to access to Bowling Ball Beach. The third trail is not well marked and leads south from a few yards inside the gate to the parking area. It follows parallel to Highway 1 until joining the middle trail at the Bowling Ball Beach access. This latter trail has much less steep climbing than the middle trail so would be more suitable the physically challenged. Vegetation and views on this trail are very different from the middle trail so well worth it for everyone."

"Plenty of washed up abalone shells. Lots of ticks after the walk up the hillside so be cautious!"

"This place was better than ok the beach is awesome you can find sooooo many different types of rocks and shells it's got all kinds of driftwood and the parking is free.Its about A fifty yard walk to the actual beach but it's worth it.However if you're looking for a Sandy Beach this would not be the place."
