"What a wonderful Bastille Day celebration at Brigitte Bistro! The service was spot on and cheerful as always, even with a very busy full house. The atmosphere was bright and lively with laughter, conversations and live piano music. What a treat! I have to say though, the cassoulet was the star of the evening. My boyfriend and I started out by sharing one and quickly ordered another. Creamy, garlicky white beans are the bed for succulent duck leg and spicy sausage. Very hearty and generous dish. We also shared a bottle of wine expertly chosen by our wonderful server. To finish off the evening we grabbed another glass of wine and made our way out to the back patio. There was a small band set up and a pétanque terrain. Also a wine bar and seating all around. It was a beautiful evening with just enough Bodega breeze to keep it quite pleasant. People were happily chatting while waiting for their tables, or like us winding down after a lovely meal. Smiles, laughter and the sound of clunking boules surrounded us. An absolutely amazing evening all around. Quick note to Nick! It would be truly lovely to have this back area utilized more. Just a small wine bar setup in the back with some seating while waiting for a table. Or as we did, taking our wine and perhaps a dessert to round out our evening. Maybe eventually setting up some small bistro tables and heaters for the chilly evenings. So romantic! We would love a cheese plate option in lieu of dessert as well. "I'm hesitant to share how splendid this bustling bistro is because it's already hard to get a table. Superb service, eclectic and sensible wine list, Plus, best heirloom tomato salad, onion soup beef Bourguignon, halibut, cassoulet and desserts. A bit loud and bright but those are small quibbles. Go."

"Great food, French classics. Left feeling full and happy! Partner and I had the escargot and onion soup to start, then the halibut with asparagus and cassoulet with duck confit (both specials), and dessert we had the pistachio tiramisu and floating island. Halibut was the star of the night for me with cassoulet close second, but my partner loved the floating island. Owner was the one who seated us and plated most of our dishes right in front of us. He was very friendly and indulged us with the origins of cassoulet. No wine, sparkling water, in total we paid $150 including tip. Would definitely come again"

"Go! Make a reservation and go. Do not hesitate. Brigitte Bistro will earn a Michelin Star and reservations will be months out. Five stars does not capture the excellent experience dining at Brigitte Bistro. From the moment you step in, the welcoming front of house team is there to start you off on a wonderful culinary journey. The chef owner himself was there to give a warm personal greeting. Our server attentive server Luc further made our dining experience a night to remember. He was always on the spot with service and his sense of humor had us laughing throughout our time at the restaurant. My wife and I sat at the chef's counter and got a first hand look at the back of house team. The organized, efficient, and talented team prepped and dished orders like a well choreographed dance troupe. Chef Ronan personally worked the pass to ensure everything went out without any detailed missed. The food was excellent. The menu well balanced menu offered a variety of French dishes with something for all culinary tastes. Honestly, there is not much I can say other than we enjoyed everything we ordered. Bottom line, Brigitte Bistro is a gem. The experience from when you enter to when you leave is five stars plus"

"This place is over the top! New restaurant in Petaluma that serves up delicious french cuisine. Classic Steak Tartare presented table side. Salmon Gravlax that was like butter, creamy, smooth, mouthwatering....salads of Goat Cheese and Lyonnaise were crispy, fresh and had the perfect mix of flavors with a wonderful dressing. Our entrees were Beef Bourguignon, served with the most creamy and delicious mashed potatoes, Pork Tenderloin that had been marinated and served with a great mustard sauce, and Sweet Breads in an amazing sauce of mushrooms, little crispy rosemary pork belly. Desserts...we had to! Pistachio Tiramisu, and the Chocolate fondant with salted caramel ice cream. The wine list had some excellent affordable selections, and Chef Nick can help with any choices! We are already planning a second visit to taste more of the menu. Petaluma is lucky to have this place!"
