"This place no longer lives up to its standards that is printed on the front door. I went to ac express up the street from Johnny's. And they did a horrible job working on my car. After getting work done on our car I ended up at Johnny's not knowing it was same company. I proceeded to tell them what the problem was. It was at that point I found out it was the same company. They got really defensive and started making it out like it was all my fault. They had there head mechanic test drive the car and he came back and said he didn't see anything wrong with it that wasn't going to hurt the car or my family. Told me to make an appointment to come back after the 4th of July last year. Well I made the appointment and they blew me off. Keep in mind this was the 3rd attempt trying to fix the situation. It took me some time to save up more money to be looked at by another shop. When I finally got it to another shop they couldn't see how the wheels did not fall off. The bearings were so smashed in that they had to be cut out of hub assembly. I went back to Johnny's a fourth time to try and resolve this. Well needless to say I left all my info for the owner to reach out to me. I heard nothing not even an apology from them. Both employees from ac express no longer work there. The 2 women at the front counter even acknowledged that both of them no longer work for that company. Hmmmmmm I wonder why they would fire the 2 guys that handled my repair. So you fired the 2 guys that messed my car but you willingly won't fix the issue. Seems like the employees are trying to cover things up from owner or the owner is just as incompetent as the employees. They refuse to reach out to me and I have tried to talk to them. I guess my only choice is to obtain a lawyer. As of right now, I am out 2000 dollars. The car had brand new tires on it when all this started. 500 for the tires 700 for ac express to mess my car up and 1000 for it to get fixed the right way. Keep in mind the other company had to cut old bearings out of assembly which took more time to do. I have all the pictures dated and time stamps. Trying to be civil about this situation but no one is willing to even try. It was my company I would be trying to keep a good name. Bad reviews can be removed when things are Rectified. Photos below are just Example of workmanship done. The nut and bolt picture is what was holding the hub assembly to the lower control arm. It was totally stripped out from taping it in with hammer instead of lining it up first. The lower ball joint stud was pushed through hub assembly and smashed the lower ball joint boot. Like I said all of this can be rectified with a simple conversation."
"When I lived in Florida I had this shop as my mechanic in a different location. And I stopped going there because I felt like it was pricey but a repair was made without talking to me. I was coming back out of state to have this done and just to have it looked they charged $140 . Some stores do this some don't and I understand if you're doing a comprehensive workup or taking things apart and your mechanic is tied up for a couple hours. But not just a quick look. I feel like they misdiagnosed my car. One thing was wrong with it but I was told there were several different things that was wrong with it. I took it to two more mechanics and they did not find but the one thing that was wrong with it that was fixed. They quoted me over $1,000 to have CV axles which didn't need to be replaced and a bearing that did need to be replaced and I did get it fixed at another shop for a lot less. Not saying they don't do good work. I'm just saying that it's kind of pricey and sometimes you may need a second opinion."
"We took our car the because of water getting in engine and damaged one of the pistons. We we're going thru our insurance to motor replaced or repaired but found out it had a hole in block. So we depended on them to do everything thru insurance company. But I kept getting text and calls that they hadn't heard from them. Ask me to contact the insurance company. It has been there for almost a month. I had to keep calling the insurance to find out if they had finalized everything for repairs. Then the insurance company called me and told me they approved it. Then johnnies calls me and tells me to come pick car up because they didn't add money on the engine so he said if insurance wouldn't pay it that I would have to pay for it. Why should I have to pay for difference because the shops estimate mistake. So I called insurance and they gave into him . And said would let people know how I was treated. He told come get car again. This is not right way to do people. This why we get such high insurance, just my opinion. I won't take my vehicle to them ever again."
"Liars. If they see a woman with a child they will try to take advantage of you. Bad part is, they didn't know little miss worked on vehicles with her dad. Didn't pull me to the back to look, had my ex come to the back and vaguely pointed to things. "Something crumbled in his hands to the touch he said." Made me sign a waiver and I left. Guy pulled the car around and acted frantic like everything was just gonna fall apart. Had no problems until I left the place. Went to press the breaks and it wasn't stopping, went right through a red light, had my 3yo in the back seat. I kept going to prevent an accident. The control arm on the driver's side seemed to be the only thing wrong with it when me and my dad went to take a look for ourselves. But the list of stuff they gave me was struts, control arms, shocks, said everything in the area was basically screwed on both sides. They deleted all the reviews that were up here before. They will want you to spend more money than you need to. My dad also found some loose bolts. Idk if it was done there but when I told them about how everyone acted and what all they said was wrong with it. Seeing it ourselves showed us that these people just saw a target."
"The techs did a great job diagnosing & fixing my problem quickly and their communication is great both on the phone and online. My only complaint is that their prices are a little higher than others but it’s worth every penny to not have to deal with the usual sleaze bag mechanics. I’ll definitely be back in the future."
