HCA Florida Alafaya Emergency

"Was having a medical emergency and went into this new emergency department not knowing what to expect, after dealing with advent and centra care for years and not being happy. When I tell you I was so happy, so In shock of how 1- nice the facility was compared to others, cleanliness and design is a huge thing for me. 2- I had zero wait, was pulled back immediately- hello that’s a big heck yea for me 3- the staff omg where do I begin! First nurse, head nurse by her badge, Aurora was absolutely amazing!!! She was sweet, kind, reassuring and funny!!! She made me feel relaxed and safe and explained step by step what was happening or going to happen. She honestly is what any nurse or healthcare practitioner should aspire to be, seriously. I have never had a nurse as calm, knowledgeable, explains things and funny! Nurse 2, Tito- super fun and efficient he was a delight compared to nurses I’ve had in the past. Needles- didn’t even feel them he was so good. Checked on me numerous times I was never left stranded waiting without a clue. My Dr, Dr Dennis Montoya was so efficient and to the point- he listened! I appreciate that no beat around the bush! He was thorough and kept checking on me. I was never left wondering what was going on or how much time. He broke things down and explained in detail. He made sure I was good before he let me go. And ladies, this Dr, wow def easy to look at I mean change the game of healthcare !!! I will def be back if I need emergency care and I do 100000 % recommend them and this location. Oh, and registration- easiest process ever!!!! And all tests didn’t take 10 years like at other places. Quick!!!! 10-10 if I could give more stars I would!!!"

"Should've went somewhere else, I came in for severe abdominal and back pain, overall it was a decent experience, everyone else was very professional except one nurse. I've had never had any trouble with IV insertion, I even had my blood drawn 3 months prior and no one has ever had trouble finding a vein. The first nurse that tried it couldn't get the IV in so they had the second nurse try to. She attempted twice and both times she could not get it either, she even pushed down on the spot where it was inserted. It was painful each time on top of the pain I was already coming in for. I had asked if we can just not do the IV because it's too painful and no one can seem to find a vein. I was told "no we already ordered it for you". So she proceeds to call the male nurse in to do it but I was in too much pain to sit still and I didn't want to be poked a fourth time so I had told him I didn't want the IV, which he was completely okay with and so they gave me regular medication. Since that didn't kick in quick enough for me, 20 minutes later I had my fiancé find the male nurse to try the IV one more time because I couldn't handle the pain anymore. He was able to do the IV in one try. Still painful but at least someone did it. The second nurse who couldn't get the IV in after two attempts kept making condescending comments every time she came in, and at the end of my visit, decided to rip out my IV SIDEWAYS, which was just as painful as the insertion. Left me with some extra bruising too. I wish I knew her name but I would suggest to just go somewhere else in general. Edit: added updated pictures 6 days after being seen."

"I stopped here in dire pain from a toothache, I was literally crying. The woman at the front desk immediately greeted me and asked no questions. She said I know you’re in pain, let’s get you taken care of. Everyone came in immediately, even the doctor. I waited for nothing. They told me they would have me in and out so that I could go straight to the pharmacy to pick up my meds and that’s exactly what they did. The doctor and staff in general were very helpful and understanding of the pain I was in. I would recommend this ER a million times over. I had a rough experience w a different location some time ago and almost didn’t want to go to this one but I’m so glad I did. I HCA Alafaya will be my go to ER going forward. Thank you so much to everyone there that assisted me."

"We were happy to find when we arrived that they could see us right away. My son had a seizure and had fallen on his shoulder. His pain was agonizing and he thought it was either dislocated or fractured. The doctor told us the xray showed no signs of either and sent us on our way. After a few days of showing little improvement we went to an orthopedic clinic and found that it is indeed dislocated and since the incompetent doctor couldn’t diagnose him properly it is more difficult to relocate it and it may require surgery. Don’t go here!"

"Amazing service by all the staff! Urgent Care was closed, did not want to go to the ER but remembered this facility opened. It was a quick visit but not rushed at all. All my concerns were addressed and got the treatment/care I needed. Will be coming here from now on for any medical emergencies!"
