About the Business

Calvary Food Pantry

Welcome to Calvary Food Pantry, a beacon of hope and compassion located at 200 South McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater, Florida 33759. At Calvary, we are dedicated to serving the needs of our community while fulfilling our mission to support families, especially those who have chosen the path of adoption and foster care.

With over 100 million orphans worldwide, we believe it is our calling, as outlined in James 1:27, to care for these children. Our church stands by families who answer God's call to provide a loving, permanent home for a child. We offer a supportive community that includes prayer, essential supplies like diapers and meals, grants, and more, to assist adoptive families on their journey.

Our commitment extends to volunteering opportunities that are crucial for child welfare, such as serving as a Guardian ad Litem. Volunteers play a vital role in providing consistent advocacy for children within the court system, ensuring their needs and interests are represented.

Every week, our dedicated team of volunteers works tirelessly to serve over 200 families in the Clearwater community. With 1 in 4 children and 1 in 6 adults facing food insecurity, our goal goes beyond providing nutritious food. We aim to make disciples and create opportunities for volunteers to demonstrate compassion and share the love of Jesus.

Join us in our mission by volunteering during our weekly activities:

- Wednesdays: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM for donation processing

- Thursdays & Fridays: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM for food distribution

We recognize the challenges faced by foster and adoptive parents and are committed to walking alongside them, offering support that includes meals, prayer, and practical help.

In the Tampa Bay area, the need for foster homes is critical, with 9 children entering the system daily. Calvary is devoted to raising and supporting foster families to bring hope and light into these children's lives. We believe the Church is the solution to many unseen needs in our neighborhoods.

Throughout the year, Calvary Cares offers various service opportunities, such as yard work, handyman needs, and community projects, to meet these needs.

Rooted in the Baptist Faith & Message 2000, our church's foundational doctrines guide our mission and unity. We invite you to explore these beliefs further and engage with our pastors for deeper discussions.

At Calvary Food Pantry, we are more than a food distributor; we are a community dedicated to making a difference through faith, love, and service. Join us in our mission to spread hope and compassion throughout Clearwater.

"Today was my first day and experienced super nice and humble volunteers except one. It's always one in the bunch. I was waiting for direction because it was my first time and the one lady took one look at me and said "Oh God" and turned away, She was translating for the Spanish speaking clients. Of course it made me feel unwelcome but other than that everyone else was pleasant and friendly. Definitely a place to get good food those rough patches. Most of all someone prayed with me. Thank you."

"I'm a recently disabled and unemployed Veteran. I'm very thankful for our food banks and they are very nice people but I'm disappointed that it has changed. Before they closed for remodeling last November it was one of the best food banks and they gave out a lot of food. A lady there once told me that they don't run out of food. Since they reopened they no longer give out frozen meat. It's just canned meat and non-perishables. They do have some fruits and vegetables but they gave me 1-potato, 1-bell pepper, and 1-onion for two people. Apparently they lost their previous supplier."
