Vegan Junk Food DMV

"The bang bang broccoli is the best I've ever had!! Can't wait to go back since it's sooo good!! The French toast was also great but not for the price. If you're expecting a restaurant I'd say it's a food hall and have to get serviced by ordering on a QR code at a table! It didn't impact my experience but thought this was it's own spot, it's more of a ghost kitchen. Regardless the staff and atmosphere was great, quiet, and had live music on a Sunday morning."

"Was in Riverdale Park and wanted something different, vegetarian and not Whole Foods. My Google search showed Vegan Junk Food DMV in the Food Hall was just feet away from where I parked. I walked in and was greeted by the bartender from Casper's who could clearly see I was confused. After reviewing all the menus for the restaurants in the Food Hall, I stayed with my Vegan Junk Food DMV. I ordered the Cheez'steak and totties. My food came out quickly and piping hot. The totties were seasoned very well. I wasn't expecting that, so it was a pleasant surprise. The cheez'steak was a mix of crumbles, finely diced mushrooms, peppers and onions. This is such a great blend that no one thing is overpowering. It has kale, Vegan cheez and a house sauce. This was a very huge and delicious sandwich. I couldn't eat all of it and would definitely go back to order it again as well as to try some of the other items."

"Ok so after ordering door dash here a few times, I decided to drop in with a friend for lunch. He had the cheese steak with tots and I had the bang bang broccoli with tots. We both ordered the banana pudding. The tots were amazing. I enjoyed the broccoli. I just felt it had too much sauce on it. My friend just wished his food was seasoned a little bit more. My biggest issue was that we waited over a half an hour for our food and when it arrived, it was very cold. I had to send mine back to be warmed up. I felt the dishes were very costly for what we received.....the lunch was close to $70. I'm not sure if I'll order entrees from here again but their desserts are amazing and I'll continue to order those. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the dine in experience as I am when I order thru Doordash."

"Vegan Junk Food is a must!! The atmosphere is exactly what a ghost kitchen should be. I went there for a lunch date and we were a bit confused when we first arrived, because it is not its own location. We walked in and were able to choose from a variety of places to dine while waiting for our order. It was seamless and easy. Our food came in about 20 minutes and the services were so sweet. The second time we ate there, we ordered take out and it was still amazing. The packaging is simple and it keeps your food warm. I would recommend ordering at least 20-25 minutes before you get there. Trust me, it is more than worth the wait! We have tried the Philly cheesesteak, the impossible burger (so filling and delicious - I inhaled the burger in seconds!), the tots, the junky tots, the apple cobbler and the banana pudding, and both of the lemonades. Everything was a 10/10, zero complaints. We will definitely be returning. Things to consider: - Price: If you’re looking for a cheap and quick meal, this is not the place to go. All entrees are $15+ and $20+ for a meal. - Menu: The food is creatively made so the menu is quite limited. There aren’t a ton of options, but the options that they have are filling, delicious and fun. - Location: The location can be confusing if you’re going for the first time. It is located inside of a food hall with other food vendors. You must scan the QR code on the table to order your food. It’s easy once you get the hang of it though. ** Excuse the photos, it was a late night takeout type of night and I had to use the flash from inside the car. The pictures do not do it justice!"
