"We own a 2 bedroom condo at South Seas Resort purchasing it in 2017,insuring it at the Heidrick agency.(the policy is paid up and always has been) Loss Assessment Coverage was omitted from our policy, Condo Six with Wind. The staff of Heidrick Insurance stated that this coverage is optional? At a zoom meeting of 48 condo owners at South Seas Resort the HOA President stated that all owners who had Condo 6 with Wind had Loss Assessment coverage, it was required.The Florida Statute 627.714 states that this coverage is required, after passing the Florida Senate in 2010 for a minimum of 2000.00. Our policy for the past 4-5 years is not complying with Florida law.We asked Mr. Heidrick to call us to discuss this, but he has not. Why? We trust our insurance agent to know the laws and write policies that comply with those laws,is that too much to ask for? We will follow through with other actions until this is matter is resolved.
