As a part of the Florida Library Association’s 2016 Library of the Year and a two-time Innovation winner, our library is dedicated to serving the vibrant community of Palmetto and its visitors.

In 2022 alone, our library locations were visited over 500,000 times, with our resources being utilized more than 5 million times!

"Such a cool library they have so many fun events for adults, families! I went to lecture on D-day from WWII- and event with Sarasota jungle gardens with live animals! Learned so much!!"

"I go here every Tuesday for yoga with Manching. I've spoken with the librarians on several occasions regarding different library events, like book reading contests, the pumpkin decorations in the display case, and other classes. The library is small and the parking is limited. There's a drive-thru with a book drop and the south door entrance (no parking at that entrance). There are two handicap spots in front, a vet spot, & a golf cart spot right by the front door. (Why?) I enjoy this library and the staff that work here are nice and polite."

"Quiet and relaxed, I was welcomed by the receptionist at the front desk, friendly, helpful and made eye contact. Seems well stocked with books, and a huge children's section ( with great soundproofing - I could certainly hear them singing when they opened the door. Free wifi, ok speed on my computer. Noted 2 public computers just for job searches."
