"My recent experience with their service was mediocre. Initially, I was informed that my glasses would be ready in one week. However, when I called to check on my order last week, I was told by a rather unfriendly staff member that due to staffing shortages, I couldn't pick up my glasses even though they were already available. Today, I went in to pick up my glasses. The same lady was still unfriendly, bossy, and lacked basic customer service etiquette. The pick-up and fitting process was quick at around 5 minutes. But there was dust all over the new lens, which seemed very unprofessional. I also could not comprehend why that quick pick up could not be done last week. It was quite annoying having to wait several days unnecessarily without glasses, since my old pair was completly broken. I am puzzled by the ultra highly positive reviews this store has received. I wonder if I was just unlucky or I was treated differently because I am a foreigner."

"Dr. Beck is always fantastic as are the ladies behind the front desk, and those helping with glasses selection. They take their time and never make us feel like they are in a rush. They ensure all our questions are answered thoroughly and concerns addressed. They have always taken great care of both myself and my husband, as well as my young son. I would highly recommend them!"

"I left Optix to try another optometry practice in town. There was no specific reason to leave other than a friends daughter had become on optometrist at the other practice. At the other practice, the friend's daughter was great and very knowledgeable. I did not like the atmosphere, reception people, or technicians. I had a rude experience at reception, and the technicians I had did not seem trained well. I decided to return to Optix. Returning to Optix felt right, and comfortable. Everyone there is very cordial, helpful and nice. Dr. Stacy Beck is very nice, and explains things very well. It was nice to return and see her again."

"Dr Beck is great! He's super knowledgeable and takes time to explain everything. His staff is so friendly, kind and they work so professionally. I would recommend Optix for any grad student like myself who is on the vision plan at Purdue. I've tried other doctors during my five years at school and I can confidently say that Dr. Beck is my preference since I understand what my needs are, I have the correct prescription and I'm treated with respect. The staff also take the time to work with me to see what my best options are, they are pleasant in all aspects (from front desk to screening) and best of all, they have very affordable options for a student on a budget. I appreciate them a lot and I know that for someone who has kinda bad vision and astigmatism, I get my prescription strength glasses affordably and they are much more durable than my past ones."

"Update: Recently, my lens got cracked. I tried to contact Optix for a warranty (2 years). The whole experience was out-exceptionally smooth. 1st week I went to the store, they reordered the lens for me. Second week, I came for replacing the lens and mounting. I then had a chance to talk with Dr. Beck, the business owner. He discussed my experience with the specific staff. I hope the staff would be more positive for customers. 2nd Review: Quite a disappointment. I brought my own frame with all the necessary parts and instructions, paid for everything upfront, and got my glasses 2 weeks later. There was no optician working with me when I picked the glasses up. Therefore, I did not check it thoroughly. Then a rivet cap was missing (in the pictures) when I took it off the first time. The mount was uneven. They did not charge me extra for the tools in the end. So, I know that they will blame me for my own frame and no tools that I purchased from them. I tried to contact Dr. Beck, but it is now July 4th holidays. -1st review- Dr. Becks are great. The opticians are insane! They asked me to buy the tools to mount my glasses after I made my order for lenses."
