COFFEE BAR

"It's a nice little coffee shop & bar tucked in with the student apartments. The food menu was fairly limited on the website and Facebook page. I was pleasantly surprised to see a wider variety on their large digital menu. I enjoyed a Strawberry Swiss Roll, and my boyfriend ordered the Southwest Breakfast Burrito, as well as two Vietnamese lattes with Cinnamon. The pastry is massive and filling. What a whimsical treat! The burrito doesn't look like much, but my boyfriend stated just how filling it was. The salsa provided has a nice touch of cilantro. The atmosphere is very cozy while still maintaining a modern design. The art displayed is very unique and has a very personal touch. I assume the works are made by Washburn students and/or the staff. A large digital display of their menu makes it easy to read while in line. *** I would love to see their selection of syrup flavors on the board, which would help a smoother ordering experience*** The pastry displays are delightful and offer pastries that other coffee shops do not have."

"This cozy spot has a lot of seating for students to study and hang out. There are pockets of local artwork on the walls which is amazing. I got an iced matcha latte with a big chocolate chip cookie. Both items are delicious to have."

"I fell in love with this place the day I stumbled upon it while walking near Washburn University. The name—Coffee Bar—is simple but the place is anything but! Fresh, locally-baked items, soups, and other tasty offerings adorn the small-but-mighty food area. I love that they also offer locally-brewed beer. The indoor seating area is cozy and inviting for small-group conversation or enjoyable quiet time. I prefer the outdoor area. The nearby traffic is a little loud at times but the view of Washburn (across the street) is awesome. Coffee Bar is definitely a local favorite."

From the moment you walk in, and leave you're greeted by the welcoming smiles.Ben, Lydia, Katy, Pancho, and Patty make a wonderful team and always go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Hands down, they make the best chai tea I've ever had. Every visit is a treat, and their food is consistently delicious. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot to study or a cozy place to catch up with friends, the ambiance at Coffee Bar is perfect. It strikes the ideal balance between a relaxing study environment and a vibrant social hub. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by Coffee Bar. "So I've visted the coffee bar a few times prior to my review and each time I've been greeted with a hello and a smile their very welcoming here. It's very clean and kept its my cozy little spot in the mornings and my wine down spot in the evenings. The food is pretty good I like sunrise breakfast burrito in the mornings with my coffee and then I tried their buffalo flatbread sandwich and it was pretty good. Definitely one of the best yet. It's usually pretty quiet. They also have a patio area if you want to dine outside with the beautiful view of the waterfall thanks to Washburn."
