"Saint Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church is an active, if aging, community of souls. The Roman Catholic Church is steeped in tradition, ceremony, ceremonial robes, and seasonal church altar hangings. If one hasn’t grown up in such a church, it may seem a bit different. But neither the priest nor the congregation is fanatical. The church was remodeled after Hurricane Ivan in 2004 or possibly after Hurricane Dennis several months into 2005. It is one of the most visually appealing churches in Atmore. If you have a chance to worship with this congregation on Christmas Eve or Christmas Eve, don’t miss it. It is most beautiful at that time."
