Explore the Preserve

Robinson Preserve boasts a diverse ecosystem, featuring salt marshes teeming with jumping mullet and hundreds of other fish and marine species. Wander through scenic hiking paths, navigate the serene kayak and canoe waterways, and enjoy picturesque picnic spots surrounded by lush mangrove forests. Don't miss the opportunity to climb our 53-foot-tall observation tower for breathtaking panoramic views of the Tampa Bay area.

Historic Valentine House

Near the entrance, you'll find the 120-year-old Valentine House, a historical gem transported to the preserve by boat. It is currently undergoing renovations to become Robinson’s information center, offering insight into the area's rich history and ecology.

Exciting New Expansion

We are thrilled to announce an exciting expansion at Robinson Preserve! This new area will feature a kayak launch, hiking and running trails, a viewing mound, additional parking and restrooms, and an education center for various classes. The expansion will also include expansive paddling trails set amidst exotic flatwoods, enhancing your adventure experience.

Aquatic Adventures

Experience Robinson Preserve from the water! Kayaking and paddleboarding are among the fastest-growing sports in the nation. Rent a kayak, pedal kayak, or paddleboard through Surferbus.com and explore the park's beautiful waterways. Eco trips are available seven days a week, launching hourly by reservation only. Please note that all rentals are reservation only, and no soliciting is allowed at the park.

"A true picture of the native flora and fauna of The Gulf Coast Mangrove forest. Old Growth Mangroves, both Red & Black. Stunning wetland area takes you inside an old growth Mangrove forest. Lots of birds and wildlife. Walk softy."

"We are coming here for walking 2.3 times a week. It’s big preserve and good exercise place. You can ride bicycles, kayaks or just walking! You can also observe various living things. And good place to take pictures."

"Me and my wife went there today, to walk off our Thanksgiving Day meal. We did the complete loop from the south entrance to the tower and back. It took us about 2 hours, with time to snap some pictures on the way. We love all the birds and flowers that give color to the preserve."
