Location:

100 North Shore Road, Longboat Key, Florida 34228, United States

About Us:

Longboat Key is renowned for its beautiful, natural beaches that are lined with private homes and condominiums. To ensure everyone can enjoy the stunning coastline, we've established 12 public beach access points along Gulf of Mexico Drive. While our access points don't include facilities like restrooms or concessions, you can find restrooms at Bayfront Park parking area. Keep an eye out for our distinctive blue and white beach access signs as you travel along Gulf of Mexico Drive.

Beach Features:

- Natural Beauty: Our beaches maintain a natural charm, providing a peaceful setting ideal for a beach picnic or a relaxing day by the sea.

- Unique Sand: Unlike the fine white sand of nearby Siesta Key, Longboat Key's sand is darker and more granular, perfect for those interested in shell collecting.

- Marine Life Exploration: With a simple mask and snorkel, discover sand dollars and other marine treasures just offshore.

Plan Your Visit:

- Parking: Some access points offer parking directly at the beach, while others have nearby parking options.

- Nearby Amenities: Visit local shops and restaurants or stock up on essentials at the large Publix supermarket located at 525 Bay Isles Rd.

- Beach Regulations: Please note that alcoholic beverages and pets are prohibited on our beaches, and all public beaches and access points are closed from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

For a more vibrant beach experience, consider visiting Coquina Beach, just a short drive across the drawbridge to Anna Maria Island. Coquina Beach offers typical beach amenities and a large picnic area, perfect for family outings.

Explore Responsibly:

Please respect our local ordinances to ensure a pleasant experience for all. For a complete list of regulations, visit Municode.

We invite you to enjoy the natural splendor of Longboat Key’s beaches and create lasting memories with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming you!

"No bathroom- No showers- No pets- No alcohol- no playground- no picnic area- a beach with literally nothing but beach on it- Super limited parking & strict- Half of the beach is roped off for bird nesting Otherwise, it’s a really nice beach but it has a strong current as it’s next to the inlet."

"Very nice beach, very quiet. Not a ton of parking and no bathrooms - which definitely helps keep things quiet. Was patrolled by the police as well."
