"This is the large fishing pier. The other one is smaller & older. Opens 7am and closes at sunset. Restrooms and lots of fish cleaning tables with many water spouts along the pier. Many people casting nets catching bait (mostly greenbacks) and fishing. Some shade. Lots of little Snowy birds trying to steel the baitfish from the cast nets. Adjacent to beach with swimming spot. Good place to walk along the beach. Same parking lot as museum with history of the area. Lots of parking $5 unless you are camper there then it is free. Foot rinse and shower station. Walking trails with plenty of miles. There is a bird trail nearby."

"Great place to fish. Clean and comfortable to fish. Fish cleaning station. Running fresh water. The day I went was full of bait. Bait show was small but had a few things. A little pricey but it’s next to the pier. Dolphins and manatee spotted this day."

"This is a great pier. They have restrooms, a snack bar, and the fishing is good. What is wonderful are the dolphins and manatees you can see all the time over there!"

"Great place to see some big birds! I didn’t partake in any fishing, but still enjoyed the pier. Many people were out on the pier fishing and they seemed to be quite successful in catching fish. This pier is very nice to walk along and since it is included in the park admission, you might as well enjoy it."
