Budget Truck Rental

"Reserve the truck to be picked up on January 27th, Saturday. My buddy who was going to drive the truck, and was the designated driver on the reservation showed up at the appropriate time. Upon arrival he was told that there are no trucks available, and a person also told him that two other people earlier in the day came in for reservations and they had no trucks for them either. Why take reservations if there's no trucks available? Then I proceeded to check my credit card statement and they charge me $75 for a no-show fee. I will be disputing this with my company and I will never give this establishment my business again. Shoppers be advised stay away go somewhere else"

"Dont waste your time They know how to take reservations but they dont know how to do anything else because they offer trucks but dont seemingly have any"

"Wow! DON'T RENT HERE! GO TO ENTERPRISE!! Rented a truck way in advance... They called a HALF HOUR before we were to be there to pick it up, and they have NO TRUCKS on the lot?! We have movers coming. Everything was planned around this truck. Then she tells us to call around and try to get a truck rented. No help. No assistance... Just "we don't have a truck for you. We'll call you if one comes in. We're sorry. Goodbye." Appalling. Enterprise swoops in for the TOTAL win! Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT reserve a truck at this place!!"

"The worst experience I've ever had with a rental company. I made reservations to pick up a moving truck online. Put in my card number for a deposit, chose pick up location, and got a confirmation number. I Showed up to get my truck to be told that they only had two trucks, one was broken down and "the boss" wouldn't allow the only working truck to be released to me... Even though I had reserved one. The guy behind the counter was extremely rude and didn't understand why I was upset. He told me 'this happens all the time' as if that was a good excuse as to why they were so unprofessional. I will NEVER use this company again and strongly encourage you to go elsewhere. On the other hand I went to Home Depot right after this happened and had no problem getting a rental and the staff were so polite and understanding at Home Depot!"

"Mom rented a truck from here for cross country trip. They made her buy "mandatory" truck rental insurance which was as much as the rental itself and actually not mandatory at all. The truck was absolutely filthy, smelled awful and driver's window leaked the whole way from Florida to New Jersey leaving your legs and butt soaked for 30+ hours of driving. The truck bed also got wet but luckily our furniture was okay. After calling to get a refund for the bogus insurance no one would help, neither the owner nor the 800 number. In fact corporate (separate from 800 number) didn't even apologize for the leaky window and deemed it only 30$ worth discount lol! Save yourself the trouble and go with uhaul. When my bf had an issue they took care of it immediately and were much more customer oriented. If I could give budget (all of it, the site the customer service number and corporate) no stars I would."
