"Boat ramp is crazy shallow. I backed my truck up to the point that my front bumper was even with the very end of the dock, a considerable ways out into the water, and it was still so shallow the frame rails on my trailer were still dry. It's like knee deep 100' from shore still. Good for launching a kayak or canoe, but that's it. Park looked ok from the parking lot, didn't check it out though."

"It is a nice, well used park with a historic background few might care to learn. Not much is provided by the County regarding its historical and cultural significance. It is great for outdoor gatherings so long as the weather is ideal. Not many amenities. The addition of fencing, and its illogical layou, by the County really detracts from its former charm. Additionally, the fencing impedes access one has to certain areas. The boat launch is okay...not the best but definitely not the worst. As far as condition, it is one of the better boat ramps as since the County is notoriously bad about not keeping up and maintaining public assets. It is really shallow water at low tide, so beware of that. Depending on wind and tide, and your rig, it can get hairy at times going out and getting back. It is definitely a "right rig, for the right weather/tide conditions, on the right day and time" type of boat ramp as since it is not protected waters. On the wrong day, at the wrong time and tide, a bay boat will not be able to load and unload; a skiff or shallow draft boat will not be able to go out or get back in easily; and a kayaker will be at risk of capsizing repeatedly. It is more dangerous than people give it credit. Not the best fishing in the world near this site. The upgraded dock is very nice."

"Because of hurricane Sally our new beautiful ramp is gone but there is still boat access to the water. The rest of Florida Town park is nice Inc walking sidewalks and places to eat lunch and for kids to play. Great place for families"

"I Come here on my lunch break often to watch birds lol. There is currently a group of Black-bellied Whistling Ducks living there. First time I've ever seen one. Lots of raptors, Bald Eagles included. Boat-tailed grackles are the loudest and most abundant. Also they will eat your food so be careful lmaoo"

"Nice, quiet, clean little park. Great for a walk, a picnic, listening to the waves, watching the sunset, or even digging for treasure."
