"We are so happy to have this gem in the neighborhood! We ate here for the first time last night and it was beyond our expectations! It's not just a restaurant to go to because it's convenient, it's totally worth driving across town for. Yes it's with-in a tennis club, but don't be fooled! The food and service is taken very serious. We had 4 in our party, and we all got something different. It all was outstanding! The one thing that shined the brightest was the Short-rib, the best I have ever had, WOW! Everyone at the table raved over what they had. They have a nice full bar, beer, and a small but decent wine selection. Really nice large outdoor patio space, the indoors is decent. The VALUE here is outstanding!$!$! Maybe the cheapest cocktails in town. Now the service,...The best service we have had in a long long time! We were extremely impressed with the two young ladies El & Ashley that waited on us! One of us at the table is a collage professor, and made the statement they were the hardest working young people he had seen in a long while. They were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed to love what they were doing. They both expressed the chef & owner was fantastic and it spills over into their enthusiasm. I really hope people give this place a chance!"

"1st and last time there. Stood at register to see if we should seat ourself. No one appeared. One of Root+ Clay people just sat a table talking to young girl. The other wait person was outside the whole time chatting. After aprox 10min we left, no one ever acknowledged us. The place wasn't busy two tables inside, one outside. Won't waste my time going back."

"My new favorite local resturant. Great service, excellent food, comfortable atmosphere, extensive Happy Hour with a variety of choices. The Loaded Hummas was the best I've ever had, Renee had the Buffalo Shrimp which was delicious! We will certainly be back and bring friends! Thank you Meredith and Lauren."

"My first experience here was excellent. The food was great (I highly recommend the chimichurri chicken) and the staff couldn’t have been more pleasant. A nicely done full bar and a beautiful outdoor dinning area. This restaurant will 100% be a part of our rotation here in St. Pete. As someone who’s lived close by for 10 years, I hope that patrons treat them well, especially the members and the board of the adjacent Racquet Club of St. Petersburg."
