Welcome to the State Preparedness Training Center (SPTC), a premier facility dedicated to training first responders in Oriskany, New York. Located at 5900 Airport Road, our center is recognized as one of the nation's leading venues for emergency preparedness training. Spanning 1,100 acres, the SPTC offers state-of-the-art facilities, including a Swift Water and Flood Training (SWFT) venue, a 45,000 square foot CityScape complex, and an Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) simulator.
Our comprehensive training programs cater to state, local, and federal agencies, providing a wide range of learning experiences from classroom lectures to high-performance scenario-based training. One of our standout courses, "Initial Response to Active Shooters," was recently highlighted on NBC’s Today Show for its effective techniques and tactics that empower officers to engage and neutralize threats swiftly.
