"I worked with Affordable Interior Design to decorate my living room, dining room, master bedroom, home office and patio. I would HIGHLY recommend them! Anita Magyar (their Westchester designer) is an incredible designer. She is very thorough, responsive, decisive - really worked with me to understand my design sense (even when I wasn't quite sure how to describe it). I loved everything she came back with! She was also flexible to make some tweaks when I wanted to look at another option for my decor. My home turned out beautifully and Anita saved me a ton of time in the process! She helped me pick out unique options which I would not have been able to come up with on my own and I am so happy with the results! She also really worked with my budget and picked out a mix of reasonable vs. high end options. I plan on working with her again for some home accessories in the near future and other areas in my home. Love, love, love Anita and would highly recommend working with her...P.S. I don't usually write reviews, but I had such a positive experience that I am hoping to help others who might be in the same boat struggling with decorating and hoping to find a high quality, yet affordable decorator. "I can't say enough about Affordable Interior Design. I recommend them to everyone who is looking to improve their living space. We first used them a few years ago in our NYC apartment, and they transformed the place from basically a dorm room into a beautiful space with functional living areas that is a pleasure to be in. We returned to the company a few months ago to help us design and furnish our new beach house, which was built in 1903. Stephanie has been unbelievable. She drove to our house (1.5 hours from the city) on 3 separate occasions and spent many hours with us there doing 4 3-room makeovers, including outdoor spaces. We started with an empty house and Stephanie has provided us with one beautiful design after another. She worked one on one with my 3 teenaged daughters to help them envision and choose items for their rooms. My husband and I are terrible at visual art and all we had to do was give Stephanie an idea of the colors we like and the general style (old-fashioned to match the age of the house, but beachy too) and she took off from there. She found breathtaking pieces at affordable prices and we cannot wait to set everything up and live in the gorgeous spaces she has envisioned. The company also has a shopping service where they buy all the items for you using their designer discount. Maggie is our shopper and she is very sweet and helpful as well. Megan coordinates everything for us and is super-personable and very responsive. Use Affordable Interior Design! They will change your life like they changed ours."

"Allison worked with us on our house Westchester two occasions, designing our grand foyer, formal living room, office, master den, and nursery. The working model of the company is efficient which is important because we are busy people. I like that Allison was willing to provide "high" and "low" options so we can decide later on which items we want to spend more or less money. She seemed to understand our style very well. I also like there is no bias involved in her recommendations (unlike a conventional interior designer which is commission-based.) Will likely hire her again for any future room design projects."

"I had the pleasure of working with Allison Rachlis at Affordable interior design and found it to be a great experience. We moved to a 4 bedroom house from a 2 bedroom apartment so I needed a lot of help. I emailed Betsy who promptly put me in touch with Allison. Allison scheduled a date and came over to see the spaces I needed furnished. I have a modern style but am Pakistani-American so also wanted certain pieces from my culture to be incorporated into the design. Allison listened and made suggestions that worked with our family of 6 ranging from a 3 yr old to a 70 yr old. She was a joy to work with and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to decorate their home but not wanting to" break the bank" while doing so."
