Kontokosta Winery

"The winery is absolutely stunning, and the location with its yard and direct view onto the sea truly is unbeatable. They even had live music. I personally did not love any of their wines. They definitely are not on the “lovely” side. I wish the server would have talked a little more about their wines in general."

"Beautiful vineyard and tasting room. The property is gorgeous and you can walk up to cliff-like area for a nice view of the water. I’m told that on clear days you can see it from the tasting room even. The tasting room is very nice. There’s a good amount of tables and it’s first-come-first-serve. There is no table service so we went up to the bar to order. They have a good selection, the prices were ok. Average for the area. The people behind the bar were very nice and didn’t rush us to make decisions. They have a big property but don’t utilize it really, there’s just some picnic tables scattered around. I wish they had a bar outside or at least some better way to get drinks to the farthest tables. It seems very family friendly as there were a lot of children when we visited, but there are no games outside games or anything despite the large outdoor space. Some reviews mention some type of entry fee but when we went (july 2024) there was no fee. However it’s possible that this is for reservations. We just walked in and there was no issue. Overall it was nice, i’d go back. I just feel there is more potential."

"3rd time going back. This vineyard offers a great waterfront view of the northern shoreline, one of a kind. I love their Viognier, white wine. A great set of blends and kick. The location and setting is all good. I'm holding back the one start only because the bathroom had a very pungent odor. Though maintained and clean, but the odor was so strong still. Hopefully it'll be improved the next time we visit."

"I am not sure why there is a bunch of negative reviews. But my boyfriend made reservations as a surprised and we had an absolutely amazing time. Wine was great. We each had a flight and brought a Cab Sauvignon. DELICIOUS! I can almost taste as I am writing this review. The view was impeccable. We got to see the sunset, so romantic. I couldn’t ask for a better date. Please bring your significant other, as we were entering a lot of families were existing and it seemed to me they had a lovely time. The view is worth the drive, I promise."

"Beautiful winery with a view of the sound. Great tasting set up. We came without a reservation and sat outside near the water. Entry is $5 with a souvenir glass."
