"I grew up on Pamela lane in selden and one of my fondest memories was the Santa parade they do with the fire trucks. Me and all my neighbors would sit alongside the curb and it was a highlight of Christmas time. Now I’m 29 and have my own children and our fire department doesn’t put nearly as much effort into it, my kids don’t even get excited for ours! I have a business in selden still and I happen to catch the parade the past two years and I wanted to applaud all the men and woman putting their time and effort into keeping that Christmas magic going! It’s still exciting for me to watch. It does not go unnoticed. I hope you all know how special you make it !"

"10/23 @9:45 AM truck 91 ( paramedics ) blew through intersection at middle country/evergreen . No sirens no slow speed and did not trip the light . Came within 1 ft of hitting us . At that speed myself and driver would have had serious injuries. Selden FD needs to learn about public safety and learn and adhere and to driving/safety rules . These are not professionals by any means"

"While I think it is fun for the kids to see a fireman Santa drive by in the neighborhood, I'd much rather see them driving around the neighborhood to find people who do not correctly burn wood and are polluting the area. If I wanted my kids to see a fireman Santa I would take them to see him at the firehouse. No need to come to me. If every fire department would drive around checking for people who incorrectly burn wood, we'd have a lot less lung illnesses on Long Island."

"Absolutely HORRIBLE today! Couldn't believe it. I had to call an ambulance for my daughter that was having an Allergic Reaction to a migraine medicine. When they came the young EMT diagnosed my daughter. Never knew they were doctors! Second, I had to get her out of my car then I had to carry my 19 year old daughter from my car and to the stretcher because no one would help and she couldn't walk because her legs were numb from the reaction. I was FUMING! I called and spoke with Chief Eck and told him the situation. Listen, you can apologize out your ears but it is NOT going to change that nor is me harping on the situation, but I had to get this out!"
