Reviews
"Great space and extremely interesting presentations. Highly recommend! Can't wait for the 80's exhibit in Feb!"
"Just attended the New York Secret Speakeasy. I saw some vintage 16mm films from the early 1900, I love things like that being a history buff. Denny was really entertaining during his presentation and I learned a lot. Loved the space and got a chance to dress up in vintage."
"I was very disappointed. I was very excited unfortunately the presenter (I feel mean now but got to give honest reviews) left something to be desired and infact we left early because of it. There are some cool items on display and the videos being shown would have been interesting too. So maybe try it out and see what you think."
"Denny puts on a consistent show that informs people about the development of technology and the modern era through stories and examples. He plays edison wax cylinders, films from the 40s, and shows that our pre-conceived notions about the past often leave us underinformed about the world we live in today. When it feels like the vastness of human understanding is available at one's fingertips, it is amazing how small or old or young one might feel when confronted with the simple reality that you simply aren't aware of the things that still make modern society work."
"This was so much fun to attend!! Danny Daniels is very knowledgeable about history and the objects that have come from them across time... a warm, inviting atmosphere coupled with many a joke, great conversation learning more all along the way, and actually getting to physically touch and feel history... I would do this again anytime! Attended one of his speakeasies with a boyfriend as a date :)"
