Welcome to Riverhead Middle School, a vibrant educational community located at 600 Harrison Avenue, Riverhead, New York. Serving approximately 800 students in grades 7 and 8, our school is proud to offer a diverse and inclusive environment supported by 110 dedicated professional staff members. Our team comprises seasoned educators and enthusiastic young professionals committed to fostering academic excellence and personal growth.
At Riverhead Middle School, we offer a comprehensive range of academic and extracurricular programs designed to nurture students’ talents and interests. Our robust cultural arts and music programs, alongside various afterschool clubs and athletic teams, provide ample opportunities for student engagement. We also boast an outstanding Middle Masques Drama Club and a renowned Latin Club that enrich our students' experiences.
Our commitment to STEAM education is evident through our participation in events like the Long Island Maker Faire, where students explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Unique learning experiences, such as trips to the Kennedy Space Center, further enhance our curriculum.
We are dedicated to creating a supportive and empathetic community. Recently, we welcomed Holocaust survivor Marion Blumenthal Lazan, who shared her impactful story with our students, fostering empathy and understanding. Our National Junior Honor Society members actively engage with younger students, promoting literacy and leadership.
