Riley Avenue School

Welcome to Riley Avenue School, a vibrant primary school located at 374 Riley Avenue in Calverton, New York. Our school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for young learners. We offer a full-day kindergarten program, as well as a self-contained special education class and a resource room to support diverse learning needs.

At Riley Avenue, we believe in fostering a love for learning and creativity. Our students have exciting opportunities to engage in unique projects and performances, such as our acclaimed production of "The Little Mermaid," which showcased the talents of our young thespians and the dedication of our staff.

We are proud of our collaborative spirit, demonstrated by partnerships with Riverhead High School students who bring their passion for subjects like biology into our classrooms, and our thrilling Makerspace activities led by library specialist Brooke Crescitelli. These initiatives inspire our students and enrich their educational experience.

Safety and well-being are paramount at Riley Avenue. We commend the swift actions of our security guard Sarah Atkins and nurse Judy Marcus, who recently saved a student in distress, exemplifying our commitment to student safety.

Our community is filled with Blue Waves spirit, as seen during visits from Riverhead High School athletes who energized our students for Homecoming. We also celebrate our students' achievements, such as the Class of 2033's time capsule project and our impressive science fair participants, who continue to excel and inspire.
