"Working at HLC has been such a great experience so far. As a teacher, we have the opportunity to teach but to also connect with students in ways that make for creative lessons. We really try and make learning engaging and interactive however we can. The environment at HLC promotes independence from the teachers all to the students as they have to do things like check in and out, grab their binders and supplies, and clean up their belongings. I think this is imperative in an environment where a parent would assume their child probably “slacks off” or “does nothing”. That is never the case at Huntington. Skills are constantly being practiced. Erin is also such a helpful and hard working director! She’s full of ideas and really makes things come to life."
