"I have been streaming COTC since the Pandemic, I find this church a trusted voice, I support them, I believe the Holy Spirit is working powerfully with this community of believers. I am very encouraged by the lives of the folks in this community."
"While I enjoy(ed) Jon Tyson's teaching, this church was a disappointment and actually grieved me. I attended this church for over three months and was never approached by any of its leaders (pastors or elders) and they clearly saw me. In fact, a Pastor sat right next to me and didn't acknowledge me in spite of my continual attendance at the church. You would think he might say something to the effect, "Hello, my name is Pastor so and so...welcome to our church. I notice that you have been attending, etc. etc.." , but not at this church . So much for hospitality. Unacceptable. Are they elitists? The only hospitality that I experienced was with the " greeters " who were essentially 20–30-year-olds, not seasoned gatekeepers of the house of GOD i.e. deacons and deaconesses as is the Bibilical model. As much as I enjoyed the teaching, on more than one occasion Jon Tyson said from the pulpit how much more he liked the church when there were approximately 40 people. What message does that send to the congregation? to newcomers? I am sure there are spirit filled believers in this church, but I did not experience the love of Christ in this church. I found it lacking diversity, elitist and quite frankly somewhat rude. The Senior Pastor told a story of a prophet who shared a word or a prophetic word about a lentil field, but I did not see this - what I saw was not a field of provision, but rather a whirlwind coming. Let him who has an ear - hear."
"Great church! Not the fault of the church leaders but I do wish the church had a more spacious building. Sometimes it gets crowded. Love the teachings come out of this church though!"
"This church changed my life. My relationship with the Lord has never been the same since I started going there. I have now relocated and it is the number one thing I miss about NYC (and that’s saying a lot!). They have the best worship team - Emily is amazing and keeps their music fresh and modern. No drums, just a piano and guitar which I love. They offer really powerful prayers rooms which I have yet to find anywhere else. It was the first place where I consistently went to a community group. And Jon Tyson is a fantastic, engaging pastor."
"Amazing people and amazing worship, sermons that are life applicable and helping me learn how thrive in New York City. As someone new to the city, being involved at this church has helped me feel encouraged and valued,an incredible place to make new friends & be surrounded by encouraging people helping me grow in my faith."
