"I am extremely disappointed with everyone at LI Tax Services. We are long time customers who will never be returning. If they did the right thing or tried to help rectify the situation I would not be writing this review. We were told by Laura to mail in a check or pay online for the taxes we owed because her system was having trouble with taking the automatic payment. We paid our taxes online when we got home. About 17 days later we woke up to thousands of dollars missing from our checking account. Two things happened here… our taxes were submitted 17 days after our appointment, and not within a few business days, and she had the automatic payment taken from our account which caused a huge problem for other bills that were clearing that day from our account. When I called the office to find out what happened I was basically told I had to call the IRS. I called back because I was very upset that Laura did not call me herself… the office was not taking it seriously until I kept pushing them. First I was told that the IRS must have just taken the $$ from our account and it was not them. I had to tell them that explanation did not make any sense and still push for them to investigate how this happened. FINALLY they called me back and admitted to the mistake but not once did Laura call me when I specifically specified I wanted to speak with her. This caused a very big financial issue for us and the only thing we received was an, oh, we made a mistake, sorry about that. I asked for them to meet me halfway and refund half of the fee for her services. I basically paid someone to cause me hours of my time and aggravation cleaning up the financial mess and spend a few hours on the phone with the IRS. This was not just a little mistake of a few hundred dollars, it was thousands! If Laura would have called me directly to explain the situation and investigated it right away, or just shown respect for her long standing client, It would have stung a little bit less."
