Reviews
"How am I supposed to rate a bridge? It crosses over something, in this case the East River on the east side of Manhattan. In fact, it's one of the few bridges that don't charge tolls (at this time anyway, 2024). If you're crossing from Manhattan to the Bronx and you want to proceed on the Major Deegan Expressway (I-87) North, make sure you get into the extreme left lane as soon as possible, as that lane tends to cork up to the exit."
"I liked the improved Bikeway but they give no consideration to Walker's that is the people that bike across the bridge."
"Normal traffic problems as this is a large merge and people now have no patience or consideration for others. Que up and things will move better. Also try using signals to let others know what you plan to do next."
"Well, I managed to cross from one side to the other with no issues, on a Citibike. As other people have noted, during the day time, it seems to be fairly ok. I have heard that at night it might be more questionable. Not a very long bridge, or high. But it's a bridge, and I like bridges. There's a little alcove area on the south side of the bridge. I'm going to guess this bit might be the more questionable area at night? Not entirely sure though, since I went here during the day time :)"
"Its a draw bridge that connect Manhattan and The Bronx. What's interesting of this point is that you can observe 3 boroughs. Manhattan, Queens and The Bronx. Its a short walk with great scenery. That day there were more people riding bikes than pedestrians."
