South Bronx Educational Campus

Welcome to South Bronx Educational Campus, located at 701 Saint Ann's Avenue, The Bronx, New York. Our campus is home to two vibrant secondary schools: Mott Haven Village Preparatory High School and University Heights Secondary School. Each institution offers a unique and supportive educational environment aimed at preparing students for success beyond high school.

Mott Haven Village Preparatory High School has been a cornerstone of our campus since 2002. Known for its warm and friendly atmosphere, Mott Haven Village Prep focuses on helping students overcome academic challenges and setting them on a path toward higher education. While the graduation rate is below the city average, dedicated students have successfully matriculated to prestigious private colleges such as Daemon, Connecticut College, Wheaton College, and Franklin and Marshall.

University Heights Secondary School, a more recent addition to our campus since 2011, offers a small-school feel with the academic diversity of a larger institution. Here, students can earn up to 18 college credits before graduation, thanks to courses taught by college professors. The school boasts a variety of after-school programs, including a robotics club and a school farm. University Heights has a track record of sending top graduates to highly selective colleges with numerous scholarships.

Both schools share a beautifully renovated sports field and sports teams, fostering a sense of community and teamwork. Additionally, the campus includes a LYFE center, providing free childcare for young mothers attending the schools.

Safety and a welcoming atmosphere are paramount at South Bronx Educational Campus. Once plagued by safety concerns, the area has improved significantly, and both students and teachers now report feeling safe, as reflected in the 2012 Learning Environment Survey.

Our commitment to educational equity is strengthened by our partnership with the Heckscher Foundation for Children and EdTrust–NY. We strive to ensure all New York City students, regardless of background, have access to advanced courses that prepare them for college and careers. Our efforts include supporting students in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), a crucial step for college enrollment.
