Conveniently located at 4790 Broadway, New York, our library sits on the ground floor of a vibrant 174-unit affordable housing development, making it easily accessible to all.
At Inwood Library, we cater to a diverse community with dedicated spaces for adults, kids, and teens. Our newly established Teen Center is a highlight, offering enhanced programming, resources, and cutting-edge technology tailored for young adults. Soon, we will unveil flexible community spaces and quiet study rooms to further support your learning and creativity.
Our library is equipped with updated technology and systems, alongside an exciting new collection of books for all ages. Whether you're here to explore our extensive selection of physical books, delve into our digital resources, or participate in our engaging classes and programs, there's something for everyone.
For your convenience, we offer free Wi-Fi, computers, and stimulating programs designed to entertain and educate visitors of all ages. Please note, in line with new library policy, e-bikes, e-scooters, and electronic transportation devices are not permitted inside any NYPL location, with exceptions made for mobility aids.
Our expanded Teen Center is a treasure trove of digital resources, tech equipment, and art materials. We invite you to learn more and take advantage of these offerings. Additionally, our personalized book-selection service, Shelf Help, allows you to receive tailored book recommendations from our librarians, ready for pickup at your branch.
Inwood Library takes pride in serving Manhattan's northernmost, multi-ethnic community. We offer strong Spanish and small Russian language collections, including audiobooks and DVDs, and provide English classes for non-native speakers.

The new water fountain is amazing and theres a good vibe here when I want to be indoors away from the rowdy city life to study or pick up holds I order from the nypl app on my phone! Cant find this anywhere else. Computers are brand new also theres charging stations for personal tablet or your own laptops. The customer service is good as usual!"
