"Loudest library I have ever been to. This is basically a childcare center, someone was singing children’s songs on a microphone and children were crying. People are on phones and having conversations. Do not come here to do anything productive."

"The library is a wonderful place for both children and adults alike. It offers a comfortable space to relax and indulge in the world of literature. The diverse collection of books caters to all age groups, ensuring there's something for everyone. From picture books for toddlers to novels for teens, and even books in multiple languages, including Hebrew, it truly embraces inclusivity. Additionally, the presence of computers adds a modern touch, making resources more accessible. The designated play area for toddlers is a thoughtful addition, allowing parents to enjoy their reading while their little ones engage in age-appropriate activities. Overall, this library fosters a welcoming environment that promotes learning and exploration for the entire community."

"This may be one of the worst libraries that I ever been at in recent times. Obviously was not expecting this to be like the main NYPL locations, however this was one of the smallest, dingiest libraries I've been at. The layout is basically one giant room, one side is the adult corner and the other side is the kids corner without any divider in the middle. Stopped in around 330 and the library was full of screaming toddlers and school aged kids, and the library staff did nothing to try to keep a decent working environment. I was wearing construction grade headphones and that wasn't even enough to block out the screaming kids. Overall, it might be okay if you come before the kids get here after school, however any time after you won't be getting any work done. After school is done, this is basically a glorified community center."

"It's a relatively safe haven as NYPL branches. Security there is proactive and customer service oriented. They have a half-crazed, middle-aged female patron who shows up there carrying a fire extinguisher on a near daily basis!?!?"
