About the Business
Welcome to Rocky Mt Baptist Church, a vibrant and welcoming place of worship located at 37 Hillside Avenue in the historic Washington Heights section of Manhattan, New York. Our mission is to change lives, strengthen families, and impact communities by spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. As a Bible-based Baptist church, we believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation and strive to help everyone come to know Him and be transformed by the Word of God through reading, studying, and practicing the scriptures.
At RMBC, we gather to worship and then go forth to serve others, reflecting the transformative love of God within our community. While the exterior of our church has been completed, we are excited to announce that the interior of our sanctuary and the apartments above are nearing completion as well.
We invite you to join us for in-person worship services every Sunday at 11 am. Please note that Pastor Ellis has temporarily suspended online services via Zoom to encourage in-person attendance. Additionally, our weekly prayer service has moved to Friday nights, and Bible study sessions are now held on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm.
As we embrace the arrival of spring, we are reminded of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who secured eternal life for all believers. This season serves as a celebration of the gospel: the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It reminds us of the victory over the grave and the promise of eternal life with Christ.
We are also pleased to announce that RMBC now accepts donations and direct payments through the Zelle digital payments network, making it easier for you to support our mission.
