Conveniently located at 34 Fifth Avenue, our office is dedicated to serving the community by efficiently collecting taxes for the Town, County, Villages, and School District. As an elected official, the Receiver of Taxes, along with the appointed Deputy Tax Receiver, is committed to providing exceptional service to all residents and property owners.

For your convenience, you can pay your Town/County, School, and Village taxes online via our website. Payments made through ACH (checking account) incur no fee, while credit or debit card payments are subject to a 2.75% convenience fee. Alternatively, tax payments can be securely placed in the mail slot located on the left side of the Town Hall's front door during non-business hours.

We also offer valuable information on tax relief programs, such as the STAR (School Tax Relief) Program. This program provides a partial exemption from school property taxes for eligible owner-occupied, primary residences. For those qualifying for either the BASIC STAR or ENHANCED STAR exemptions, please ensure you register with the New York State Tax Department to receive your benefits.

Remember to keep your mailing address updated with the Assessor's Office to ensure timely delivery of tax bills and receipts. If you refinance your mortgage, notify us about any changes to your escrow arrangements.

Stay informed about important tax deadlines: Town/County taxes are due by April 30th without penalty, while School taxes are due in two installments—first half by September 30th and second half by January 31st.

For senior citizens or individuals with disabilities, we offer the option to designate a third party to receive duplicate tax bills and notices. Please contact our office for an application.

Please note, tax payments can no longer be dropped off at the Police Station. Ensure your payments are directed to the correct location to avoid penalties.
