"This location seems to choose employees who have zero interest in doing their jobs. They have refused my payroll check several times and wouldn't tell me why. After several conversations with the payroll department of the hospital I work at I come to find out that there is a recent attempt by someone in buffalo forging false checks from the hospital. So rather than take 1 minute to identify this was my check and I work there, they refused to service my request several times without giving me the smallest indication as to why. I'm embarrassed for m&t that they have to have their reputation smudged by careless negligent and plain lazy employees. I have been with them for nearly a decade without issue and I will be closing my accounts. Very disappointed to work all day helping other people then to not receive the smallest amount of assistance when I go to cash my check at this business."

"I waited patiently in the lobby for a domestic wire transfer, but the check-in process was confusing and very unapparent. John, at the unclear check-in desk, was on his phone for upwards of 10-15 minutes before acknowledging me. When prompted by another person, he informed me about the check-in requirement, contradicting the protocol at other branches I visit regularly, which I mentioned. Lack of clear signage added to the frustration. Overall, a disappointing experience."

"This is not a reflection on this branch- Just M&T - if you want a bank with lots of fees that others give you for free.. like ACH at 3.00 a pop, or instant check availability with a fee...this is the place for you !"
