"Terrible stop. No signage as usual. Stations across the two sides aren't connected so if you get into the wrong station by mistake you have to pay twice. Ridiculous."
"Jasmine H posted a review including information about the elevators, which is incorrect. There are *NO* elevators at the 28th Street station of the 1 (red line) train. The nearest accessible station with an elevator is Penn Station with the 1/2/3 (red) lines @ 34th and 7th (one stop north on the 1 train,) and there are elevators at the Penn Station A/C/E (blue) lines @ 34th and 8th and Herald Square with the BDFM (orange) lines and the NQRW (yellow) lines @ 34th and 6th/Broadway as well. Station is usually clean. Small station, and the 1 train is infrequent on nights and weekends, so on weekends or after 11pm on weekdays, choosing the 34th street 1/2/3 (red) station at Penn Station is a better bet to catch a train - night and weekend 1 trains can have 30 minutes or more between trains."
"Nice station the benches are close to the wall. The elevator is much quicker and newer modeled than the other elevators and there's a ding to when it opens"
"It seems silly to rate a subway station, but living in NYC you discover not all stops are created equal. At least once a week during weekday on way home from work, the 1 train downtown suddenly "decides" to run express after 34th street (unplanned) and skips this stop. Seriously MTA?"
