"I was passing through Nyack village on vacation with my family. We stopped for lunch, I paid the parking meter, the meter printed out the wrong information, I didn’t realize until I got to the restaurant that the Information was wrong (time and date) so I walked back to my car only to find a parking ticket. I spoke with the meter officer who told me to go to the village hall. Wow, what a way to rip people off. They told me I’d have to go to court to fight the ticket. Even though I had my bank account showing that the meter was paid for at the time I was there and not the incorrect time the ticket showed. So now I can either pay the fine or drive 4 hours from my home to go to court… this place didn’t care and didn’t want to hear any arguments. On my way back to my car I spoke to multiple people who had the same issue in that moment. What a horrible experience this place was. Absolutely horrible costumer service."

"I was visiting Nyack for lunch and shopping with a friend and received a parking ticket while I was paying the meter. Rosa looked into it and promised me it was taken care of. Two months later I received past due notifications, Rosa wouldn't return phone calls for weeks, and no one else was willing to help, so I ended up having to pay double the initial fee. I won't spend my time or money in the village of Nyack again. I'm so disappointed by how I was treated as a visitor to their town."

"Best clown show in town. If you're just passing through, walk in anytime & watch tax dollars get spent on xerox and misery (plexiglass screens have been installed for visitor protection). If you're here for the long stay, check out a board meeting in the village courtroom. Acts include "Nepotism for beginners", "What village code?" and "Don't rock the boat". Audience input encouraged but limited to 3 mins."

"Patricia the clerk is just awful. She never answers the phone and when she does she’s rude and unwilling to do her job. Certain people shouldn’t hold the position they do. There are more qualified and willing to help people out there that deserves these kind of jobs. In order to work with the public you should be willing to help and be friendly enough to know how to talk to people. Be advised, if she doesn’t know and isn’t in a mood to do her job she will transfer you to the parking office. So unprofessional!"

"A somber dungeon where you will be greeted with the occasional scowl and gruesome wailing from fettered locals constantly being taken to task for anything and everything this town can use to collect revenue. The Parking Authority has posted hours from 9-5, yet when I went to renew a parking permit, the clerk stated "yeah she's get's in around 9:30." This is especially convenient for working people who are forced to sit around and wait for paid town employees to stroll into work at their leisure. For an official business, stated hours should be stated hours. Ticketing in the village is completely out-of-hand, yet Main St. often looks like a recycling truck has emptied its contents, while the legions of cigarette butts act as a visual thread. I also believe the town has a clandestine program to create hungry potholes that lie in wait for hapless car wheels. From the Rt. 59 Thruway overpass, right down into the Village, the roads are in utter disarray. I, as well as many other's I know love this town, but every person I know feels there is a deep chasm between it's residents and the Village Hall which operates in it's midst. And if Village Hall resident's live here too, then you should be as concerned as we are and remember who you represent."
