Welcome to Hillcrest Fire Station, proudly serving the community from our location at 374 North Main Street, Spring Valley, New York. As a vital part of the Hillcrest Fire Co. No. 1, we are committed to protecting over 10,000 residences and businesses across 36 square miles. Our dedicated all-volunteer team of over 250 members operates from three stations, equipped with 16 state-of-the-art apparatus, including pumpers, aerials, and rescue units, ensuring rapid and effective response to emergencies.

Established in 1915, our department plays a crucial role in the Moleston Fire District and collaborates with neighboring departments as part of the Rockland Regional Technical Rescue Team. Our commitment extends beyond emergency services; we actively engage in fire safety education to enhance community awareness and preparedness.

As one of 26 fire departments in Rockland County, we are proud to serve the largest fire district, uniquely covering three towns: Ramapo, Haverstraw, and Clarkstown. Known as "DEPARTMENT 6" on the Rockland County fire radio, we are the second busiest department in the area, just behind Spring Valley.

Join our team and benefit from exclusive volunteer membership programs. Eligible members can access educational assistance through the HERRO Program, offering up to $6,000 in annual tuition reimbursement, or the EDGES Program, which provides tuition waivers at Rockland Community College.
