"Ed provided my home and auto insurance for the last two years because he was able to beat what I was paying at State Farm. Unfortunately, my rates started to slowly rise over time as is typical with all insurers. But this latest renewal period, the rates rose over $200 per 6 months, so it was clearly time to cancel. Of course I can't fault Ed for this, he has no control over what Farmer's charges. But when I called him and told him I intended to cancel, his attitude changed and he was short with me. He told me to e-mail him the supporting documentation, which I immediately did. It was late in the day so I didn't expect him to take care of it then, and instead asked him to let me know when it was done. I heard nothing back from him. A week later, a bill shows up saying I owed because he didn't get around to it until a couple of days later, and used that day as the effective cancelation date, resulting in the bill. No worries, simple mistake, right? I sent him another e-mail asking him to fix it, sending the proof of new insurance again with the correct date. He said he'd take care of it. One week later, another bill in the mail. Nothing has been done. It took a call to Farmer's customer service to fix the issue, which they did professionally and quickly. Ed, I'd feel sorry for the one star review, but you had multiple opportunities to do your job, and not once did you do it."
