EVO Merchant Services Of NY

"It saddens me to have to write this but Evo Merchant Services (management is out of Upstate NY) has literally taken $5,600 from my non profit organization after asking to close my account in 2019. In summary, I was using an excellent company called Merchant Services. I ran all my credit card transactions with this company for several years. In 2019, suddenly and with NO NOTICE, Evo had bought them out and took money out of my account without any notice or communication. I called to try to correct this. I don't remember the details but I did write a review under Evo Payment out of Tampa (I am in Florida). An Evo rep or manager told me that they lowered my credit line on how much I could accept. It was at that exact time that I cancelled my account with them. (the summer of 2019) Immediately after that I got a new credit card processor. That was August 2019. I just found out that they have been debiting my account since 2019 even though I cancelled the account. I would not have kept two card processors and I have not used Evo since 2019. My account was supposed to be closed. Evo has taken approximately $5,600 from my non profit. The issue on how they were able to do this is another matter. The point is that it was done and it was not the first time Evo did illegal debiting from my companies account. My volunteer educational and humanitarian group has helped over 3 million children and people with community support programs, books and help from us. We have even helped many orphanages and we were out there during the pandemic helping over 1 million children and people. We have been awarded by the US President The Volunteer Services Award 3 times for our volunteer and community work. It is not right that Evo has taken funds from us for services that were ordered to be cancelled. I am sure they have "lost" evidence of my calling and cancelling. But its still not right that such unethical business practices are allowed or tolerated. You can easily find out that I am a hard working honest businessman, educator and humanitarian for many years. Just check my Facebook page. I hope Evo takes responsibility for this and repays the funds that they took from us. I am sure I am not the only one that they has been harmed by this company."
