"Not what we expected...the trail is actually a poorly marked and poorly maintained path under power lines. To actually get onto the path, you first need to walk over a bed of quarry stone that requires careful footing if you don't want an ankle injury. After about 1/2 mile, the vegetation was so overgrown it made it difficult to continue. The power lines have beautiful forest land about 75 -100 yards running along both sides...how sad that the trail isn't among those trees."

"Trail not clearly marked. But if you just want a hike in the woods, this one is ok. Once on the trail, If you make a right you will go the the back side of the former Tanglewood Ski area at the top of the hill. Make a left...not sure where that goes. Sign to enter trail is not where trail entrance is. There are blue, red and white ribbons in the bushes off the power line path. Not sure if they are meant for the path area or something else."

"Finding the start of the trail was a challenge. But once on it, it is marked. Just you wear good hiking boots. Lots of rocks, which is typical for Pike County, so you have to remain focused home where your feet are landing."

"Nice little trail, just make sure that when looking at the map in the parking lot to turn left to walk the access road to the power line to find the trail. Wandered around to the right looking for trail head at first for a good 15 minutes. Otherwise awesome trail, the fur baby loved it!"

"White deer lake trail was marked well, The ones across rt.402 I think we're destroyed by the power lines."
