"The decor is ultra KTV, with way too many screens, but the hot pot broth is good and the $10 lunch special is a great deal."

"Never again! Went there with my daughter her boyfriend and my girlfriend. Halfway into the meal, a man comes storming in with a teenage boy. He is large, aggressive, agitated and looked of Middle Eastern descent. He is briefly confronted by the manager or owner. My girlfriend who speaks Chinese, overhears the manager clearly say to him, 'do not bother my Chinese customers.' We are the only Caucasian people in the place. This mutt storms to the back of the restaurant where we're sitting bangs on the table and rubs his fingers together signifying he wants money. I was stunned! I said you're interrupting our dinner get out of here! I realized that on the table between my daughter and I was a Boiling Pot of food. Wouldn't have put it past this guy to flip that pot in our direction. I'm about to go ballistic when my girlfriend whips out a $5 bill and tosses at him. he bolts out of the restaurant. When I confronted the manager after the meal he conveniently didn't speak English just smiled a lot and open the door for us. In my 50 plus years living in New York City, I have never seen anything like that. Wanted other possible patrons to be aware of this. Ruined our evening. Avoid at all costs."

"This place was absolutely fantastic! The food is so good, and the hot pot set up is really fun for friends! I recommend the fatty beef and lamb, the mushrooms and chrysanthemums (for veggies), and the kelp! The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because the hot pot stove was a little weak, at least at our table. We turned up the temperature almost all the way and it still took a while to boil. But again, that could've just been a problem with our specific table!"

"Among all the hot pot restaurants in Flushing, I do enjoy Hot Pot House for a few reasons. First of all, the wait here is not terrible. I have little patience to wait over 30 minutes for a table. We got here and were seated right away. Secondly, the staff were very friendly. They were not pushy but they tend to be slow to bring out the food you order. This might be a tactic to slow down your all-you-can-eat speed. Finally, the broth is good and food quality is decent and fresh. One final point is that the all-you-can-eat here is only $19 plus tax and tip, which come out to be about $25. One funny thing to note is you get a karaoke station right at your table. If you feel like singing while you dine, it is free! Overall, it is a reliable and decent hot pot place if you don't want to fight over tables or get rushed service."
