"I was a patient of Dr. Hunt for 15-20 years. He is a good doctor, however I had not seen him in probably close to 10 years, instead it is a stream of young girls playing doctor. I was a complex case, multiple cancer diagnoses, but still was placed in the hands of the inexperienced. My last interaction with the latest girl, I asked her if I needed an Oncologist, the one at Slocum was leaving and do I need a gastroenterologist since I am being followed by a GI surgeon, that doctorwas also leaving Slocum. My call was initiated by a letter I had received from Slocum advising that the 2 providers were leaving, it instructed me to contact my PCP for referral. Her response was literally "I don't know "...ok, well can you find out...but instead she told me to go to Google and then let her know if I wanted to be referred and if I did want to be referred, who I wanted to be referred to. I asked her exactly what her job was because I am referring myself all over the place already, I am managing my care, now you want me to Google an answer to my medical questions...I left the practice, now being seen by an NP at Rome Health. She has time to see me and to help with coordinating my care."
