When they exhausted their resources, something magical had to be done to save her brain. Dr. Norman was that magician- he quickly assessed all probabilities, arranged her surgery with non other than the head of neuro-surgery at Stony Brook. There was no second spared, everything was executed flawlessly. 4 hours later my mom opened her eyes and could speak. For days I remembered the image of a mysterious doctor who hugged me as I was crying in ER and said that he will do everything to help my mom. Turns out he was thinking of us, 3 days after the surgery he called Stony Brook to find out how my mom was. My heart is overwhelmed from gratitude, countless doctors and nurses work tirelessly to give people their lives back. They deeply feel the preciousness of human life, they do magic to give it back to you whether you want it or not. God has no hands but our hands.
