As a dedicated and highly experienced cardiologist, Dr. McBrearty has been a vital part of North Suffolk Cardiology since 1995. He is the esteemed Director of our certified echocardiography laboratory, bringing a wealth of expertise and a passion for heart health to our community.
Dr. McBrearty is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. His specialized interests include nuclear cardiology, echocardiology, and transesophageal echocardiography, ensuring comprehensive and cutting-edge care for all his patients.
An alumnus of Cornell University, Dr. McBrearty earned his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel. He further honed his skills at Stony Brook University Hospital, where he completed his internal medicine residency and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease. In addition to his practice, Dr. McBrearty contributes to the medical community as a Clinical Instructor in the Division of Cardiology at Stony Brook University Hospital.
